IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Iowa’s Kevonte Martin-Manley and B.J. Lowery have been honored by the Big Ten for their performances in Saturday’s win over Western Michigan.

Martin-Manley was named the Big Ten’s special teams player of the week after returning two punts for touchdowns. Lowery was awarded defensive player of the week honors for scoring twice on interception returns.

Martin-Manley’s 184 yards on punt returns was the second-highest in Big Ten history. Iowa’s only Heisman trophy winner, Nile Kinnick, had 201 yards in a game in 1939.

Lowery set a school record with his pair of touchdowns on pick offs.
