LOGAN, Iowa (AP) – Authorities are investigating the death of a 5-year-old child who was found in a western Iowa ravine. KETV reports the child was found Saturday evening in rural Harrison County.  Harrison County officials say the child was reported missing and possibly injured around 7:15 Saturday.

Then the child’s caregivers told sheriff’s deputies that the child was found in a ravine and appeared to be dead. Deputies confirmed the child was dead. Authorities did not immediately release the child’s name or many other details about the death.
