THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PARTS OF EASTERN NEBRASKA
AND WESTERN IOWA….

THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT:  ALTHOUGH THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON…MORNING CONVECTION HAD PUSHED AN OUTFLOW BOUNDARY THROUGH SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST IOWA AND CREATED  SOME STABILIZATION OF THE ATMOSPHERE. HOWEVER…HEATING THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON COMBINED WITH A COLD FRONT PUSHING INTO NORTHEAST NEBRASKA WILL LIKELY BRING NEW DEVELOPMENT…ESPECIALLY BY LATE AFTERNOON IN NORTHEAST NEBRASKA.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS COULD BECOME SEVERE WITH THE AMOUNT OF SHEAR EXPECTED AND FORECAST INSTABILITY…WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS POSSIBLE. A FEWOF THE STORMS COULD ALSO DROP HEAVY RAIN. THE ACTIVITY WOULD LIKELY BUILD AND DEVELOP SOUTHEAST ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA THROUGH THIS EVENING.

STORM SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE REQUIRED LATER TODAY…ESPECIALLY
FROM LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING.
