Three southwest Iowa residents were injured during a head-on crash on Highway 141 in Guthrie County early this (Saturday) morning. The Iowa State Patrol says both drivers, 18-year old Rylie Schlepp, of Guthrie Center, and 40-year old Keith Miner, of Creston, along with a passenger in Miner’s vehicle, 32-year old Anita Miner, of Creston, were injured in the crash that happened at around 3:45-a.m., about two-miles west of Bayard.

Officials say a 2007 Pontiac G6 driven by Schlepp was traveling east on Highway 141 when it crossed the center line of the road and collided head-on with a 1996 Ford F-250 pickup driven by Keith Miner. Keith and Anita Miner, who were not wearing their seat belts, were flown by Life Flight and Mercy One helicopters to Iowa Methodist and Mercy Hospitals in Des Moines. Schlepp, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by Coon Rapids Rescue to the Guthrie County Hospital. There is no word on the condition of the injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
