Inmate assaults medical services personnel

An inmate at the Montgomery County Jail faces assault charges following an incident at the jail late Monday afternoon. Sheriff’s officials say the incident happened as Red Oak Rescue personnel who treated the inmate for a possible medical issue, began to leave the facility. The unidentified inmate allegedly assaulted a paramedic. The inmate was charged with assault on a firefighter/paramedic. Bond for the offense was set at $1,000.
