KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs have been on the clock since the end of last season. The Chiefs went 2-14 to land the No. 1choice in the NFL draft for the first time in franchise history. But there’s no clear-cut player available this year, and certainly no star quarterback such as Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III to make the pick an easy one.

Kansas City is likely going to shore up its offensive line with the selection Thursday night. Most draft experts believe the Chiefs will go with Texas A&M’s Luke Joeckel or Central Michigan’s Eric Fisher, a pair of left tackles who could protect quarterback Alex Smith. The Chiefs are also open to trading out of the No. 1pick.
