A Harrison County family lost their home to a fire, Wednesday morning. According to the Missouri Valley Times, the Pisgah Fire Department was called to a four-story log cabin home located just south of Pisgah off of Highway 183, at around 2:15am Wednesday. Fire Chief Gail Hatcher told the paper the house was fully engulfed by flames when firefighters arrived, but a family of five living in the home was able to escape without injury.

Crews from Little Sioux, Magnolia, Modale and Mondamin battled the blaze for nearly five-hours.  The house was a total loss. Hatcher says the family is currently living next door to their home, with a relative. Persons who wish to help the family can make donations at the Pisgah United Methodist Church.
