Accident in Page County sends 1 person to the hospital

The Page County Sheriff’s Office said today (Tuesday), that an accident last week resulted in one-person being sent to the hospital in Shenandoah. Officials say 33-year old Amy Valquier-Argumaniz, of Shenandoah, suffered non-incapacitating injuries when the minivan she was driving went out of control on a gravel road at around 12:15-a.m. Wed., Feb. 20th.

The van entered the north ditch off of 140th Street, slid sideways, and hit a small embankment before rolling over. Valquier-Argumaniz was not wearing her seat belt, and was partially ejected through the windshield. She was brought to the hospital by private vehicle.

Officials say the 1999 Mercury Villager van sustained $2,800 damage, and was considered a total loss. Valquier-Argumaniz was cited by the authorities for Failure to Maintain Control, and Failure to wear a seat belt.
