ELDRED WILLIAM SCHMITZ, 88, of Harlan, died Sun., Nov. 4th, at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan. A Mass of Christian Burial service for ELDRED SCHMITZ will be held 11-a.m. Thu., Nov. 8th, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Westphalia. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Visitation at the funeral home is from 5-9pm Wed., Nov. 7th, with a Wake service at 7-p.m., and the family greeting friends from 6-8pm.

Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery.

ELDRED SCHMITZ is survived by:

His sons – Cecil (Monica) Schmitz, of North Sioux City, SD, & Galen (Rebecca) Schmitz, of Corpus Christy, TX.

His daughter – Mary Lynn (Danny)  Shallenberger, of Omaha.

His brothers – Lester Schmitz, of Harlan, & LaVern (Mary) Schmitz, of Defiance.

His sisters – Sister Bernice Schmitz, of Harlan; Luella Hull, of Manning; Arlene (Bob) Hodapp, of Denver, CO; and Sister Lorraine Schmitz, of Omaha.

7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
