Bluffs grocery store robbed Monday morning

Police in Council Bluffs say a 42-year old employee of the Aldi Store at 3135 Manawa Avenue, was robbed this (Monday) morning, at knife-point, when he arrived to open the store. The suspect, a masked black male, took an undetermined amount of cash from business. He was last seen running from the store, carrying a white plastic trash can, which held money from the business. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspect, who was about 6-feet 5-inches tall, and weighed about 160-pounds.

In addition to the mask, he wore a dark quilted coat, a blue Toronto Blue Jays baseball cap, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. He’s believed to be between 25- and 30-years old. Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Council Bluffs Police Department at 712-328-4728.
