Bluffs fast food store robbed Monday night

Police in Council Bluffs report a fast food store was robbed Monday night. Officials say at around 9:50-p.m., two masked robbers entered through the back door of the the Popeye’s Chicken at 3440 West Broadway just before closing time, and demanded money. One of the suspects, who was armed with a handgun, held five employees of the store at gunpoint, while the other took an undetermined amount of cash.

The robbers fled out the back door of the restaurant. Officials say no getaway car was seen. Employees said the act was committed by two white men wearing gloves and hooded sweatshirts. The men were described at being about 5-feet 6, to 5-feet 8-inches tall.
