Sheriff’s officials in Shelby County report a search conducted Thursday night at the trucking company in Panama, resulted in the seizure of a small amount of methamphetamine and the arrest of a rural Harlan man. Authorities say the search was performed by a Cass County Sheriff’s Department K-9 team at the facilities of Panama Transfer at 600 Lasalle Avenue.

Working closely with company officials, authorities found the meth, and arrested 46-year old Brian Michael Coenen, who faces a serious misdemeanor charge of Possession of Methamphetamine. Coenen was brought to the Shelby County Jail and later released on $2,000 bond.
