ISU’s Knott, Klein picked for All-Big 12 team

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa State senior linebackers Jake Knott and A.J. Klein have been named as preseason All-Big 12 picks. Knott, a native of Waukee, finished second on the Cyclones with 115 tackles last season and was named as a first-team pick by The Associated Press. Klein was the Big 12′s co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2011 after making 116 tackles. Texas lineman Alex Okafor was picked as the league’s preseason Defensive Player of the Year. Iowa State opens its season on Sept. 1st, against Tulsa.
