…HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THURSDAY FOR: MILLS-MONTGOMERY-FREMONT AND PAGE COUNTIES.

…HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8-P.M. THURSDAY FOR: ADAMS, MADISON, RINGGOLD, TAYLOR AND UNION COUNTIES.

HIGHS ARE FORECAST TO REACH THE UPPER 90’sS TO AROUND 103…WITH INDEX VALUES IN THE 105 TO 110 DEGREE RANGE BY THIS AFTERNOON. THE COMBINATION OF THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY WILL KEEP AN INCREASED RISK OF HEAT EXHAUSTION OR HEAT STROKE TO THOSE WORKING OR PLAYING OUTDOORS AND FOR THE YOUNG AND ELDERLY.

A HEAT ADVISORY MEANS THAT A PERIOD OF HOT TEMPERATURES IS EXPECTED. THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE POSSIBLE. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS…STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED ROOM…STAY OUT OF THE SUN…AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS.
