THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN OMAHA HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR…WEST CENTRAL MONTGOMERY COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN IOWA… UNTIL 715 PM CDT

* AT 512 PM CDT…DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. UP TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN AND MORE RAIN IS ON THE WAY. FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN SHORTLY.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE…RED OAK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
